Obituary of Dr. Maria A Rokkas

Dr. Maria A. Rokkas entered into rest on Sunday December 24, 2017 after a long battle with lymphoma. Maria was born on September 28, 1968 to Phillip and Ariadne (Michalakis) Rokkas in Elmhurst Queens. She was graduated from NYU and NY College of Podiatric Medicine. Maria was currently a Physician at the Bronx VA. Beloved wife of Payam Rafat, devoted mother of Isabella Zoe Rafat. Cherished daughter of Ariadne Rokkas. Dear sister of Eleftheria and her husband John DosSantos and John and his wife Dolly Rokkas. Her loving nieces and nephews Avery, Raquel, Phillip, Niko, Ariana and Grayson. Her funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday December 28, 2017, 11:30AM. at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle NY 10804. Interment to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings on Hudson NY. Her family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday December 27, 2017 from 4-9 PM at The Sinatra Funeral Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, at the Corner of Midland Avenue, Yonkers NY. In lieu of flowers donations to The Holy Trinity soup kitchen c/o Philoptochos with soup kitchen in memo. May her rest be eternal.
