MEYERS, John Thomas, 79, of New York City passed away on October 6, 2013. Beloved father of John and Larry, Cherished grandfather of John, William, Ciana, Orla, and Liam. Loving brother to Ann, William, Dolores, Elsie, Ed, Joe, and Patricia. Decorated Korean War Marine (featured in 2012 NYT for his service with Sgt. Reckless) and long-time Inwood resident. John is remembered most for his empathy, love for the Great American Songbook, bone rattling humor, and fondness for a cold beer. Reposing @ Riverdale Funeral Home Inc, 5044 Broadway @214 St. NYC Friday October 11th from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd R.C. Church on Saturday 9AM.
