Sappho Papaioannou entered into rest on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Sappho is survived by her Beloved sister, Helen Hiotakis, her loving nieces and nephews, her grandnieces and grandnephews, and her goddaughter.

Sappho was a cherished member of Holy Trinity Choir as the organist for over 50 years and will be dearly missed by the entire community for her devotion . Her work for The Pepsico Company for many years was a remarkable staple in her life.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle, N.Y.  10804 on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Funeral Service will follow at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle N.Y. 10804 at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at Beechwoods Cemetery, 179 Beechwood Ave, New Rochelle, N.Y.  10801, at 2:30 p.m.
