Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Quintina Antonia Lantigua de Lamouth

New York, NY – Quintina Antonia Lantigua de Lamouth, a matriarch of unmatched strength and perseverance, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the age of 98.

Born on December 8, 1927, in Salcedo, Dominican Republic, Quintina faced life’s challenges with a quiet resilience that defined her character. She was a pillar of support for her family, teaching everyone around her the true meaning of determination and grace.

Beyond her indomitable spirit, Quintina had a deep passion for the world around her. She was a devout animal lover who found great joy in their company. An avid traveler, she explored new places with a sense of adventure and curiosity. Closer to home, her kitchen was the heart of the family. She expressed her love through cooking, creating delicious meals that brought her favorite people together. Above all else, spending quality time with her loved ones was her greatest joy.

Her profound influence is most clearly seen in the family she leaves behind. Quintina raised a lineage of determined successful individuals. Today, her descendants excel across several professional industries—a direct testament to the high standards, work ethic, and encouragement she instilled in them.

She is survived by her loving children: Idelci Lamouth Mercado, Sergio Lamouth, Diana Lamouth, and Xiomara Lamouth. She also leaves behind a legacy of strength through her cherished grandchildren: Gina Lamouth Litrell, Ingrid Robles Lamouth, Bianca Mercado, Christina Mercado, Sergio Lamouth Jr., Sulay Lamouth Toledo, Juan Carlos Lamouth, Wendy Giselle Martinez, Jennifer Martinez Langham, Chris Michael Velasquez, and Anthony Suriel.

Quintina was reunited in eternity with those who preceded her in death: her beloved husband, Carlos Lamouth; her daughter Josefa “Mamita” Lamouth; her son, Ricardo Lamouth Sr.; her grandchildren, Ricardo Lamouth Jr. and Karen Lamouth; and her best friend, Fabiola “Yaya” Concepción.

A service to celebrate her extraordinary life will be held on the following dates:

Visitation will be held at Riverdale Funeral Home, Inc., on Sunday May 31, 2026, 1 p.m.- 5 p.m.

Service will be held at Good Shepherd Church on Monday June 1st, 2026, at 10 a.m.

Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ after the church service.

Servicio Religioso: Se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia del Buen Pastor (Good Shepherd Church) el lunes 1 de junio de 2026, a las 10:00 a.m.
