Alexis C. Livanos

December 24, 1953 — April 5, 2026

Alexis Christine Livanos, a loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away at the age of 72 on April 5, 2026, surrounded by her three children: Peter Livanos (Amanda Livanos), Katie Mitsos (Peter Mitsos) and Andrew Livanos (Renee Livanos).

A proud Brooklynite, Alexis was deeply immersed in her Greek Orthodox faith from a young age when both her parents (Arthur and Sophie Noulas) held prominent leadership roles at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Bay Ridge. Alexis later resided in Scarsdale for over 30 years with her family, where she became a devoted member of the parish at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in New Rochelle.  

Alexis graduated from NYU with a BS in Marketing, concentrating in merchandising. She went on to become a buyer for B. Altman, Fifth Avenue in both their Furniture as well as their Textile departments — a career highlight of which she was incredibly proud. After the birth of her third child, Alexis devoted herself to her family full time and later returned to work for Hickory Chair Company when her children were grown. She became the company’s lead sales representative for the tristate area.

Alexis was known for her warm disposition and fierce determination. She believed strongly that she could achieve anything she set her mind to, including owning a beautiful summer home on the North Fork of Long Island, where she felt most at peace.

Alexis was a proud “Yiayia” to her six grandchildren: Olivia, Chloe, Peter, Penelope, Niko, and Teddy. She is also survived by her sister (Joyce Cutrone) and brother (Evan Noulas). She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Visitation will take place at Westchester Funeral Home at 190 Main Street in Eastchester, New York, 10709, on Wednesday, April 8, from 4-7 pm

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in New Rochelle at 11:30 am on Thursday, April 9

Burial will follow at her final resting place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson
