Yesenia M. Sánchez - Jessie

January 1st, 1972 – February, 27 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Yesenia (Jessie) Sanchez on Friday, February 27th.

Jessie passed away weeks after battling Colon Cancer. She was a devoted mother, beloved daughter, caring sister, cherished aunt, loving cousin, and loyal friend whose vibrant spirit touched everyone she met.

“Jessie Effect”

Jessie had a way with anyone she came into contact. Always with a smile and ready to help in any way possible, her calm demeanor and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met. She made use of these qualities in her work, which she loved, and was very proud of her accomplishments. Her outgoing nature and great personality could light up any room. She brought laughter, strength, and warmth wherever she went. Jessie would leave you better than you were before and THAT is the ”Jessie Effect”

Jessie is survived by her two amazing daughters, Kaylah and Alani. Her beloved family, mother - Celeste, her father - Miguel, sisters - Anna, Dilcia, and Francis, her brother - Mike and a plethora of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her loss has left a tremendous void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved her.

Jessie’s smile, generosity and faith will forever guide us.

May her memory be a blessing.

Visitation will be held at Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, NY NY 10034 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 3pm to 7pm.

Chapel Service will be held  at Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway,NY NY 10034 on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 6pm.
