Wesley Expedy Rodriguez, the man, the myth, and the heart of the family, transitioned on February 18, 2026, at the age of 46. Born and raised with the hustle and soul of Washington Heights, Wesley took his talents from NYC to North Carolina before eventually making Davenport, Florida his final home base.
Wesley was a man of deep strength, a devoted son, a ride-or-die husband, and a father whose love truly had no borders. To the world, he was “Weezy” or Weezy F. Baby—and he made sure everyone knew that "F" stood for Family.
Wesley’s greatest legacy is the home he built with his beloved wife and partner, Brittany. Together, they moved through life’s highs and lows with a commitment that couldn't be shaken. As a father, Wes was a pillar. He was a legendary girl-dad to his daughter, Briella, and the ultimate champion for his son, Wesley Jr., affectionately known as “Chupi.”
Raising a son with Autism takes a special kind of heart, and Wesley had it in spades. He “made it hot” for Chupi every single morning, showing up with a rare kind of patience, advocacy, and unconditional love. Alongside Brittany, Wesley was Chupi’s voice and his hero, ensuring he never walked a day without a cheerleader in his corner. Whether he was guiding Briella with a gentle hand or celebrating Chupi’s every milestone, Wesley’s life was a masterclass in how a father shows up for his kids.
Wesley is survived by his rock and wife, Brittany; his cherished children, Wesley Jr. and Briella; his mother, Morena (Candida “Candy” Rodriguez); his father, Johnny Rodriguez; and his siblings, Dwayne, Heather, Johnny Jr., Harold, and Joannie. He also leaves behind a massive crew of cousins and friends who will forever carry his rhythm and his memory.
Wesley’s life was far too short, but he packed a century’s worth of love into those 46 years. He won’t just be remembered for the man he was, but for the profound, loud, and protective love he left behind for us all.
Rest easy, Weezy. We got it from here.
Memorial Contributions: In honor of Wesley’s dedication to his family, the Rodriguez family suggests donations be made to a gofundme to help support Brittany and the children.
