Chris J Nolan Obituary

Chris J Nolan Obituary

Chris J. Nolan was born to James and Anna Nolan (Solomos) on January 19, 1940 in New York City. He passed away peacefully at 85 at the Manhattan Veterans Hospital on December 22, 2025 surrounded by loved ones, and is survived his lovely wife Christina, daughters Anna, and Soultana, loving son-in-laws Raman and Carl, and grandchildren Jake, Chellam, Zoe and Chris.

Affectionally called Baba and Pappouli, he was an avid athlete as a youth, and played football, fished, and swam in high school. He continued to swim throughout his life, enjoyed spending time outdoors fly-fishing, and traveling to Greece with his family. He was well known as a staunch Mets and Jets fan since their first games.

He enlisted in the US army and served with the 2nd battalion, 54th infantry. During his service, he earned a Marksman qualification, and was honorably discharged. He married Christina, and proudly raised his two daughters in the New York / New Jersey tri-state area.

Chris was patient and kind to all. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in all of us, and his memory will be a blessing to us all.
