Obituary for Yuri V. Diaz

Yuri V. Diaz, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Claribel Diaz, and his loving daughter, Maylinen Diaz Mendoza, along with her husband, John Mendoza. Yuri was a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Destiny J. Gomez, Daniel Mendoza, and Ethan J. Mendoza and 2 great grandaughters Riley M. and Ruby J. Almeida  all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Yuri’s kindness, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a family that will treasure his memory and honor his spirit.

A private service will be held in his honor, where family and friends can gather to celebrate his life and the impact he made on those around him. 

Yuri V Diaz entered into rest on Sunday December 21, 2025.

Visitation will be at the Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway ,NY NY 10034 on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass will be at St Eliizabeth's RC Church, 268 Wadsworth Ave, NY NY 10033 on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at 10am.

Interment will follow at St. Raymonds Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY at 11:30
