Theodora Constantine Obituary

Theodora “Loula” Constantine (82), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on July 20, 2025.  She was born in Manhattan and raised in Jamaica, Queens, by her cherished parents, Angelena and Anthony Skouras. Loula grew up in a home filled with laughter, warmth, and the comforting aromas of traditional Greek cooking. Her upbringing instilled in her a deep love of family, faith, and generosity—values she carried throughout her life.

In 1965, Loula married Gus Constantine, with whom she shared more than four decades of loving partnership until his passing in 2006. Together, they raised their three children in Mamaroneck, NY, where Loula made their home a true haven—filled with love, tradition, and open-hearted hospitality. Her door was always open, her table always full, and her phone constantly ringing with calls from the many people whose lives she touched.

Loula was a lifelong and faithful member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and a devoted member of the Philoptochos Society. Her deep faith and unwavering commitment to service were the cornerstones of her character.

Her greatest joy came from being “Yia Yia” to her eight beloved grandchildren. Whether offering encouragement, sharing stories, or simply showing up with unconditional love, Loula was a constant and nurturing presence in their lives.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and boundless generosity. Loula is survived by her three children: Angela Demos (Brian), Michael Constantine (Sarah), and Valerie Katsoris; and by her treasured grandchildren: Elena and Sofia Demos; Gus, Anna Theodora, and Elizabeth Constantine; and Christopher, Kelly, and Cole Katsoris. She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Katherine Kiafas (Eleftherios) and George Skouras (Janet).

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
