Tasia is survived by her sisters, Maria Kollias and Demetra Doumas, her son Dean Mellas and his wife Denise, daughter Stella Mellas Hadfield and her husband Scott and her four beloved grandchildren, William and James Hadfield and Eva and Ana Mellas.
Tasia was an incredible mother who showed strength and deep, unwavering faith in God after enduring the loss of her husband when she was only 35 years old. She raised her children selflessly with patience and the utmost love. She then suffered the unimaginable loss of her son George to leukemia when he was 31 years old. Through the pain and hardship, she never gave up on her devotion to God and has been an active member of Prophet Elias Church and the Ladies of Philoptochos.
Tasia will always be remembered by her family as a woman with a beautiful spirit, a smile that lit up the room and someone who would never stop trying to feed her guests. She will be greatly missed.
