It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Alba Micaela Flores, who departed this life on June 22, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born in the Dominican Republic in 1939, Alba later made her home in Inwood, New York City, where she lived for most of her life. A devoted and hardworking woman, Alba spent many years working as a seamstress, taking pride in her craft and the care she poured into everything she did.

For over 50 years, she was a dedicated member of St. Jude Church, where she found purpose, faith, and a beloved community. Her presence there was a constant — a quiet strength and shining spirit that touched all who knew her.

Alba was the cherished mother of Rafael and Pedro, the proud grandmother of five, and the joyful great-grandmother of seven. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering positivity. Known for her selfless heart, her warm smile, and her ability to find light in every situation, Alba was a source of strength and comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched — not only as a mother and grandmother, but as a neighbor, a friend, and a beacon of kindness in her community.
