Louie A. Flores passed away on June 23rd, 2025 at the age of 66, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Louie was a loving father, grandfather, brother and nephew. He lived a life full of love, laughter and generosity.
He was a superintendent, handyman, above all – a true artist at heart. Whether he was fixing something or painting murals of clouds on his walls, Louie always moved with a joyful spirit. He was creative and imaginative. He approached things with ingenuity and resourcefulness; it was easy to be inspired by him.
Louie’s sense of humor was more than a personality trait – it was his superpower. If he knew it or not, his laughter moved people through pain, lifted us up and reminded us that even in the hardest moments, joy is still possible. Humor was his way of surviving, connecting, and loving - and he shared that gift so freely with everyone lucky enough to know him.
He will be missed beyond words. He is dancing with the angels now.
