Obituary of George P Farrara

George P. Farrara, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

 

George was born May 24, 1941 in the Bronx to the late Pasquale “Patrick” and Charlotte (Still) Farrara. George was employed as a union pipe insulator and proudly served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 774 in the Bronx. He enjoyed time spent at the home he built in Livingston Manor, NY. George valued his time spent with friends and family and he never missed family gatherings in Ridgewood, NJ. Everyone enjoyed the cheesecake he would bring from the Bronx at Christmas time. George knew how to have a good time and enjoyed a good laugh. He will be missed.

 

He is survived by his sister Frances Monton and her children, Jeanine, Paul and Anthony. He loved all his great-grand nieces and nephews, Kyle, Kevin, Julianne and Jack. And, he was so thrilled to welcome the next generation of babies to the family and we are happy that Briley, August, Aubree, Henry, Delilah and Cameron got to meet him.
