I always remember Bruce fondly from his overwhelming and joyful presence, both when he came to visit me when I bartended at the Stumble Inn and later as I became close to him and Jenn, even staying in their house to cat sit. He was a warm-hearted person who I still picture as the ultimate New Yorker: funny, wry, intelligent, and full of life . Rest easy Bruce.

Bruce was a true friend and I will miss him dearly. I will always remember the sound of his laugh, his outlook on life and our “Turkey Burger Friday’s” when we would cut out of work early for lunch - and never go back! He was the kind of friend that you could tell anything, he never judged, and no matter how much time passed we always picked up where we left off. I know he wouldn’t want us to be sad, he always wanted everyone to have a good time. Bruce - I love you, you will live on in my memories.

During one of my first work projects, it was an excel sheet! I had never seen it before; my job was to identify who the partners were. I went ahead and added smiley faces, in pink, to each firm that was a partner. LOLOL. Bruce kindly asked that I replace my smiley faces with check marks. Hahah. I will never forget it as I continue to work in this dang app, excel. XOXO. -Rey

When I started working at the NAD I was very young. It was my first time working in NYC and I was nervous and so terrified of messing up. Bruce was my supervisor and quickly put me at ease with his disarming manner and smile. He was funny, kind and made me feel welcome and that everything would be ok. Over the years we felt more like colleagues and then more like friends. I learned so much from him and I laughed so much with him. I will miss that fun and warm spirit that made me feel like I belonged! Rest easy my friend!

Hello, I’m Uncle Bruce and Aunt Jenny’s nephew Jed. Bruce was the cool Uncle everybody wishes for and was always great to talk to. One memory that always sticks in my head is when he came to visit Texas when I was a kid. He took me out to a local pizza shop to watch some football games, have some food and a couple of drinks. I had so many Pepsi’s that day if I wanted to turn into the Tasmanian Devil I think I could have. But it is my favorite memory of ours. Nothing else in the world mattered, just living in the moment and hanging out. I’ve always romanticized living in New York City and when I got to visit my Aunt Jenny and Uncle Bruce there it solidified everything I ever believed in.
If nothing else I would like to leave this quote with you.
“The grief that will remain with us, is just all of the unexpressed love that has no place to go.”
Until next time Uncle Bruce.
