William "Bill" Bazigos, 63, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on March 2, 2025, of a heart attack. Hewas born on July 10, 1961, in Brooklyn, NY.

Bill was a proud graduate of NYC's prestigious Stuyvesant High School and later earned his degree in business administration from NYU's Stern School of Business. He dedicated many years of service as a property manager and electrician for the NYC Metropolitan Transportation Authority, recently retiring in July 2024 a er a fulfilling career.

A man of many talents and interests, Bill was a gifted electric guitar player who led his band, Festivus, with passion and skill. He was also a skilled problem solver, particularly when it came to mechanical and electrical issues, often helping friends and family with repairs that left others stumped. Fluent in both English and Greek, and conversant in Spanish, he connected easily with people from diverse backgrounds.

He had a profound love for people, sports, and cooking—especially baking his famous pizzas. His enthusiasm for politics, comedy, and music brought joy to everyone around him. He was especially passionate about animals, and fiercely dedicated to his cat, Twister, who survived him and his late dog, Buster.

Known to friends and family alternately as Bill or Billy, he touched countless lives with his warmth and genuine love of connecting with others. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by the many tenants he helped over his two-plus decades as a property manager, where his care for people extended far beyond his job description.

He is survived by his older brother Michael and his daughters Alexandra and Ariadne (Billy’s nieces), as well as his younger brother John.

A viewing will be held from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15th at the Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Service, 255 Ninth St., Brooklyn, NY 11215. Services and memorial will be at 11 a.m. through 12:00 noon will be followed by a memorial meal (“makaria” in Greek) at a local establishment.
